  1. 2 cans (4 oz each) sardines in olive oil, drained
  2. 2 cups canned crushed tomatoes
  3. 1 onion , chopped
  4. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  5. 1 teaspoon oregano
  6. - Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. - Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat, sauté onion for 3-4 minutes.
  2. - Add tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. - Stir in sardines and cook for 5 minutes until heated through.
  4. - Serve 1.5 cups per portion warm.
