  1. 8 ounces beef tongue
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  4. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. - In a large pot, cover beef tongue with water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours until tender.
  2. - Remove tongue, peel off the outer layer, and slice thinly.
  3. - In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil, season slices with salt and pepper, and sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  4. - Serve 4 ounces per portion warm.
