  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 1/4 cup butter, cold
  3. 2 tablespoons sugar (for crust)
  4. 2 cups whole milk
  5. 1/4 cup sugar (for custard)
  6. 2 large eggs

Directions

  1. - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. - In a medium bowl, cut butter into flour and sugar to form a dough; press into an 8-inch tart pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. - Whisk milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; pour into crust and bake for 20-25 minutes until set; cool and slice into 4 pieces.
  4. - Serve at room temperature.
